Kannis Dog Food Bag

Client: Kannis Pet Food

Kannis were producing a dog food for the Indian market, and were looking for a packaging design that was both modern and classical. This being quite a new arena for me, I did a good deal of research into dog food packaging and discovered that a lot of effort goes into designing those bags to appeal to pet owners.

Since the brand was certified organic and the bag was to be made of recycled fibres, I designed its packaging using an eco-friendly colour scheme, mostly in muted earth tones. The bag itself is overprinted with a burlap texture, and its more classic elements (the bordered boxes, the illustration) are offset by curling vines.
