Wordsmith Communications, being a startup on a tight budget, didn't have much to spare on a logo design, so it ended up being derived from the website we'd already designed.
Logo
As it turns out, they absolutely love the logo, and keep getting complimented on it. The airy shape of the "W" gives the impression of being handwritten, while the text balances it out and keeps it from seeming too whimsical.
Business Card
Wordsmith asked for a quick and simple business card and hurry hurry hurry, so I gave them this. I'm becoming a fan of whitespace.
Pale blue with a chocolate brown is coming pretty close to beating out crimson and yellow as my favourite colour pairing. I've worked with so much red that I'm starting to gain appreciation for all the other colours out there -- turns out there's a whole spectrum I nearly forgot about!
