An art-deco logo that goes from day to night

Knowtropolis Logo

  • problem The Knowtropolis gang had a lot of very concrete, but also rather vague, ideas about what they wanted: a modern Art Deco look, “like what a booth at the Chicago World’s Fair would look like if it were designed today.”
  • solution I developed a logo with a fictional skyline, taking inspiration from Art Deco buildings in New York, Florida, and comic books. The logo is slightly for a daytime or nighttime sky, which was reflected in the website templates. The website never reached completion, but I did develop a set of customized weather icons to display local weather while matching the look & feel of the rest of the site.

I was blown away by how fast, efficient, and professional Sarah was. Not only was she a joy to work with, but the end product was better than I ever could have imagined! —Nick Lacelle

Client Love Notes

I know I can be a difficult client. Even in the face of that, Sarah continuously kept coming back with great work done and a smile on her face. I know it wasn’t always easy for her, but she never showed a wince of frustration. She gave me a great product for a most excellent price; I’m impressed and I look forward to working with Sarah again…
